CROSS COUNTRY
PROGRAM
Fall Cross Country is a USATF youth program that spans from mid-August to mid-December. The season culminates in the USATF Junior Olympic qualifier meets in late November and the Junior Olympic Cross Country Championship in early December (which is sometimes held in a different state).
It is open to boys and girls ages 7-15, with a minimum fitness level of running. As a safety precaution, an athlete must be able to run continuously for 25 minutes and a single mile in 8:00 minutes or less.

Cross Country Meets
We believe racing allows our athletes to push to their highest level of potential. Therefore, our season typically includes the following Club supported events:
-
One local cross country invitational.
-
One USATF sanctioned XC Meet.
-
Pacific Association Championship Meet (usually end of November).
-
USATF National XC Junior Olympics.
2022 Cross Country Fees
$375 for the first athlete
$350 for additional sibling
The program covers costs associated with insurance, race fees for Club supported meets, coaches' stipends, equipment, supplies, and facility permits.
Athletes are welcome to join us for a trial workout to interact with the other athletes and coach to determine program fit.
Please Note: Due to the rising costs of track and field permitting costs, parents will be asked to reimburse the Club when their athlete misses a meet where fees are paid by the Club, with the exception of Coach-excused absences.
